"Photography allows me to express myself by sharing moments that have moved me, whether during travels or walks. My work focuses on the geometry of the places around me and how light alters perspectives, bringing still elements to life. My gaze is particularly drawn to architecture, which I use to highlight shapes and lines, extracting a poetry of contrasts and gradations. My photos are an exploration of light, each place telling the story of a frozen world where time seems suspended. I am also interested in the materiality of my subjects; analog techniques and Polaroid allow me to add texture to my images, making them more tangible. Harry Gruyaert and George Byrne are two photographers whose work I admire. They have a perfect mastery of the interplay of form and light, which gives their images a great intensity."Claire Joly
